The Covid-19 virus will likely result in changes to how people live and work. More people will be working from home, the restaurant experience will likely be quite different in the future and how we travel may change significantly.
History tells us that whenever there is a major change in society, completely unexpected changes occur in how we live and work. I suspect the same will happen with Covid-19, in that many of the assumptions we think will happen may not and at the same time, many we haven’t thought of, will.
The Air Conditioning Effect is an interesting look past changes in society such as how the railways and air conditioning affected how we live and work in completely unexpected ways.
Perhaps the message here is to never make concrete assumptions and to keep our minds open.
