Corona Virus – Get the REAL Facts Before You React

Should you cancel your holiday? Should you be wearing a mask to the grocery store? Should you even go to the grocery store?

Understandably, there is a lot of fear right now regarding the coronavirus. During times like this, it is important to remain calm, measured, and informed. In this age of 24/7 news, and an endless barrage of information, it can be difficult to separate fact from fiction.

I urge you all to watch this video, where the senior director of the NYC Health + Hospitals System-wide Specials Pathogens Program, and a professor of epidemiology from Columbia University debunk 13 of the most common myths about the coronavirus.

To help keep things in perspective, according to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, between October 1, 2019 and February 20th, 2020 there were between 16,000 and 41,000 deaths in the US alone related to the flu. Up until March 8, 2020 there have been a total of 3,653(1) deaths from coronavirus worldwide.
